105 health checks for women in Garoua

Some medical equipment and 105 checks were offered at the Garoua Regional Hospital for pregnant women in the city.

The donation was to strengthen the capacity of the home and emergency services, maternity and paediatrics services, as well as provide assistance to pregnant women to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality.

The ceremony for the handing over of these gifts from Honourable Lisa Koultchoumi Ahidjo, Member of UNDP of the Benue, was held at the esplanade of the regional delegation of public health in the North, under the chairmanship of the inspector general of the Governor of Northern services, André Onana Dzana, who represented the Governor.

In detail, the items donated were 3 consultation tables, 12 cradles, 10 stretchers, 3 wheelchairs, 20 door serum (stems), 25 bedpans with lid, 10 digital thermometers, 100 charlottes 'Clip Polypro' white, 40 litres of ethyl alcohol and 105 health checks.

The Mayor of Garoua I, through the first Assistant, Lydienne Djialeu; the regional Commissioner of Public Health in the North represented by Dr. Sali; head of the regional unit for the fight against malaria in the North, pregnant womenand beneficiaries of health checks, through their spokesman, Hapsatou Hamadou, expressed their gratitude to the sponsors.
