An offensive was launched by unknown assailants on Tuesday night, November 17, 2015. According to sources within the Cameroonian army, the suspected Boko Haram members attacked the village in the Goldavi district in Mayo Moskota, Far North region.

The operation was successful for the attackers who returned to their base in Nigeria carrying goods. "They killed eight people and wounded two others. The Boko Haram members took away five bikes," says an officer of the Cameroonian Defense Forces.

On that same Tuesday, November 17, heavily armed men broke into Tayer, a town nine kilometers from Mora, capital of the Vina department. "There, they set fire to two shops, three residential houses and a mill. Despite stealing herd, they still broke into and emptied the Health Centre," indicates our security source.

Insecurity grows in the Far North region despite the deployment of the joint multinational force created to fight Boko Haram.
