Abdouraman confirms election results have not been annulled

Abdouraman Hamadou Abdouraman Hamadou

Abdouraman Hamadou Babba has confirmed that the Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC) did not annul the FECAFOOT elections.

Yet, the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration (CCA) of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC) reported a verdict that plunged into a big uncertainty; the four-year mandate entrusted to Iya Mohammed's successor by the members of the General Assembly of FECAFOOT, on Thursday 01st October 2015.

Acting on a complaint from Abdouraman Hamadou Babba, Cca judges invalidated the new statutes of FECAFOOT adopted on August 5, 2015, under the aegis of the former Standards Committee. This decision plunged into confusion.

On one side are those who believe that the text automatically causes cancellation of elections and on the other hand, those who think the CNOSC verdict had nothing to do with the elections that brought Tombi A Roko as head of FECAFOOT. Yet it is clear that the Cca did not annul the elections.

He has spoken on the subject of the complaint. I filed a motion to request the cancellation of the articles of FECAFOOT. Now that I have been successful, I will go again to the Cca to order for the cancellation of the whole electoral process,” explained the irreducible Abdouraman.

The former top executive of FECAFOOT has no doubt he will still succeed in this new trial against the leaders of the Cameroon Football Federation. "The hardest part has been done. The Cca will simply draw conclusions from its first verdict. So logically, the elections must be canceled,” said Abdouraman who promised to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport if the judges of the Cca were against him.

Kalkaba Malboum, president of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon, said the few fortunes after the publication of the verdict annulling the adoption of the statutes of FECAFOOT, does not guarantee another victory for Abdouraman.

"After the decision of the Cca that invalidates certain articles of association of FECAFOOT, I invite the new FECAFOOT Executive to convene a General Assembly to address the parts of the texts that has problems. The electoral process will not be repeated!" said the boss of CNOSC. A clumsy exit judged by the opposition.

Kalkaba Malboum will receive the new executive of FECAFOOT led by Tombi A Roko on Monday, October 5, 2015. In the entourage of the latter, this meeting is a continuation of courtesy visits that started since Thursday, October 1, 2015.
