The new distribution campaign of mosquito nets will be looking forward to correcting the failures experienced in 2011 in this region of Cameroon.

The distribution campaign that has over one million treated nets (Milda) begins on June 21, 2016, in the region of the Far North of Cameroon.

The campaign, the second of its kind in this part of the country will 'catch' the failures encountered in the distribution in 2011. A failure that led to a malaria epidemic in the Far North with over 200,000 reported cases and over 800 death.

At that time, the Extreme North region had received 1,651,174 Milda, but only 30.4% of the coverage had been achieved. The rate of use of this material, the recorded percentage was only 30.6%.

To achieve the desired objective by 2016, health authorities in charge in the Far North have undertaken to communicate with the people.

This is an objective understanding of the benefits there is to use the treated mosquito nets to fight against malaria.
