The Director General of the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV), Amadou Vamoulke, has in the space of seven months, appeared four times before the investigating judge of the Special Criminal Court (SCC), Annie Sorelle Bahonoui, with his last appearance August 28, 2015.

According to the weekly Repères in its edition of Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the end of several hours of interrogation, the DG of CRTV reportedly received two charges. One in connection with the illegal trial benefits of 59 million FCFA. The other concerned the management of the Marketing and Communication Agency (Cmca) advertising agency of CRTV Cameroon.

Close sources from the investigation stated that, the testimony of Antoinette Essomba, former Director of Cmca, who is behind bars, were significant both at the preliminary inquiry and before the investigating judge. She unveiled the ‘sugarcoat’ and other fictitious benefits which insighted the SCC to open what appears to be a judicial investigation against Amadou Vamoulke.

For the first time on February 17, 2015, Vamoulke was formally summoned by the Attorney General at the SCC to answer on the acts of predation against public fortune in conjunction with his predecessor, Gervais Mendo Ze, now in custody at Kondengui.

This has been followed by other convocations with the last on August 28. According to Repères, despite this review, Vamoulke displays foolproof serenity.

"We are only in preliminary hearings which are not still legion. We are two or three at the moment. So I'm waiting to see the outcome of things while hoping that it will be favourable. I am not yet disturbed in my work as General Manager of Crtv", he told the weekly Défis Actuels.
