The town of Bamenda in the North West Region of Cameroon has been gripped with consternation after a mysterious python was killed in an office in the Delegation of Lands and Survey.
The huge snake killed this Tuesday 1st September 2015 reports say, had a piece of paper in its belly bearing names of seven staff of the delegation one of whom died and was buried last week.
The Service Head, Kah Charles Nji whose name was also in the list says he found and killed the snake as early as 5:30am in his office.
The myth behind this python was further illustrated when one of the many onlookers that appeared on the scene insisted that the snake should be dissected and not burnt.
Amidst the confusion and panic, one of the female staff whose name was among the seven to die burst out into tears, visibly devastated and instilling more fear at the scene.
Responding to this situation, the Divisional Delegate of Mezam, Emmanuel Nsah who immediately appeared at the scene cautioned the population not to panic as the situation is under control.
