A fatal invasion of bees occurred late last week at the Djéleng 5 District. Precisely on Thursday, November 12, a little past noon, two old women, one octogenarian were seated in front of a home. Suddenly, they were attacked by a swarm of bees.
One of the women, although tired, struggled to run from thousands of bees but the octogenarian could not move. She was attacked by the insects, ruthlessly enduring millions of bites.
After the attack of the women, the bees moved on to a teenager who was in the street. It was only after the bees had left that people who had taken refuge rushed the victims to the hospital.
Unfortunately, a few hours later, the octogenarian died. The two others are undergoing treatment. According to witnesses, the bees left their hives housed in a resident beekeeper also at Djéleng 5.
According to our sources, he has not been found since the attack of his insects.
