Nine people were slaughtered in Kolofata yesterday in Mayo-Sava department, Far North region of Cameroon, during an incursion by Boko Haram, reported a military source who requested anonymity.

Those killed included ranchers, farmers, members of a vigilance committee, says our source.

The son of a Lamido was also killed in the night of Monday during an incursion of Boko Haram in the locality of Kossa (district of Mora).

On Monday, five people including a 14-year-old suicide bomber died in Fotokol after a suicide attack attributed to Boko Haram. 20 people sustained serious injuries.

The Cameroonian government said the wounded are being treated at military medical institutions.
