Cameroon is one of the 195 countries expected at the 21st Conference of Paris.

This conference aims at the completion of a new international climate agreement, applicable to all countries, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2 ° C.

According to Cameroon Tribune (CT) on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, "the Kyoto Protocol, which has the same objectives could not produce the expected results, because of its non-binding nature and its non-ratification by two great polluters, the US and China."

The Paris Agreement is divided into three parts according to CT. The first part of the draft of the agreement is the Paris Treaty. There will be a defined objective of limiting global warming detailing the modalities to get there.

The second part will be to compile the decisions taken by the negotiating parties to "operationalize" the Treaty, and the third part concern clauses difficult to classify in the Treaty or from decisions after discussion. The issue of "loss and damage" for example.

However, modernization and industrialization which generates fumes and experts call greenhouse gases "accumulating in the atmosphere and rising temperatures speed up exactly like a lid on a pan range fire".

To stop this, fossil energy needs to be replaced by releasing these fumes for "renewable energy"; such as solar or wind power and to a lesser extent, hydro-electric power.

The purpose of the Paris agreement is to ensure that every country will agree to do it gradually.
