A delegation of 12 institutions, led by the Association of Colleges and Universities of the Canadian Francophonie (ACUFC) and the Consortium Advantage in Ontario, currently resides in Cameroon.
The objective was: To convince Cameroonian students to choose the Canadian destination for their studies.
Under the theme: "I study in Canada in French in a bilingual environment," and the good part is a "tour to promote Canadian education and research partnership with Cameroonian institutions," said Raymond Day, Director of Advantage Gay yesterday during a press conference held on the premises of the Canadian High Commission in Cameroon.

After a stint in Douala last Monday, the delegation will on Wednesday and Thursday, organized meetings with pupils and students in the context of their present Canadian training offerings, at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde.
There were talks of more than 900 study programs to offer future potential learners. Other working sessions were also scheduled with representatives of various Cameroonian ministries working in the field of education, but also with post-secondary institutions and secondary education officials.
To His Excellency René Cremonese, High Commissioner of Canada, "each of these meetings was intended at a conducive time for exchanges to know more about the school system of another, but also highlights to foster and encourage partnerships between the Cameroon and Canada. Cameroon is our second largest source of students in sub-Saharan Africa, after Nigeria. We aim to increase the Cameroonian community in Canadian universities."
