Saint Eloi Bidoung, Director of the newspaper, Cameroun Diaspora, CPDM activist and also 3rd Deputy Mayor of the Yaoundé 6th dictrict, has received death threats by SMS from a in uniform man.
This was during the RTA Presse live debate about Ministerial appointment which took place on Friday, via RTA Channel on October 4.
The uniform man in question, who did not hesitate to include his name as Colonel Mballa Batsogo in his SMS; reproached the supposed support of St. Eloi Bidoung to Minister Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o, although the Deputy Mayor kept saying "Mr Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o, I don't know him, we have never met.”
The content of the SMS which was read on the RTA Presse show read: "Tell this 3rd Assistant to the Mayor that if he continues to make an apology for Mebe Ngo’o, he will end up with a bullet in the head at his home,” signed Colonel Mballa, who St Eloi Bidoung recognized as “a great friend, a very great friend.”
Not only concerned, St. Eloi Bidoung said he takes Cameroonians as his witnesses on this death threat sent live on television. However, before the end of the show, the presenter received an SMS from a man who presented himself as the head of the division of SEMIL (military security).
