Douala: Jospeh Beti Assomo hands over mandate to new governor

Joseph Beti Assomo, former governor of the Littoral region and now minister of defense has handed over his mandate to the new governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua.

The ceremony was held in Douala on Friday in the presence of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Rene Emmanuel Sadi, members of government, parliamentarians, municipal magistrates, administrative authorities, CEOs and people of the region.

There was pomp and pageantry at the Place Vallée de la Besseke where the ceremony was held.

Guests also took turns to praise the good works of the outgoing governor while welcoming his replacement. The government delegate of the Urban Community of Douala, Fritz Ntone Ntone honored Joseph Beti Assomo for the tremendous work done while welcoming, on behalf of the people of region, the governor. He also expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic.
