Strong explosions rocked the Kolofata city early on Monday morning in the Far North region of Cameroon.
These were terrorist acts perpetrated by suspected followers of Boko Haram, two were killed, a security source revealed.
A young man blew himself up at about 5:30 (4:30 GMT) near the chiefdom of this town near the Nigerian border, causing no casualties aside himself, said this source.
"Another suicide bomber was spotted and shot by a soldier of BIR [Rapid Intervention Battalion of the army special force]. A little girl was also killed and his charge recovered. Three other terrorists have fled and are sought through the city. There are no victims among the population and the defense and security forces for the moment," the source said.
In this area already, a suicide bomber on Friday morning caused nine deaths including himself and 22 wounded, according to a report provided by the army.
Another fled after escaping a member of the Vigilante Committee, community vigilante groups set up under the instigation of the authorities to help fight against attacks by Boko Haram in the Far North.
Since July, suicide attacks are increasing in this part of Cameroonian territory, exacerbating the insecurity caused by violence of mass killings, kidnappings and attacks with heavy weapons on the part of the Nigerian Islamic sect since 2013.
