Four suspected members of Boko Haram arrested in Kousseri

With the help of Customs warrant, who discovered them in their hiding place, three suspected members of Boko Haram were arrested Tuesday afternoon in Kousseri, in the Department of Logone-and-Chari, region of the far - north of Cameroon.

Previously on Friday, an individual was arrested in Garoua, in the Northern Region (3:30 am in Maroua in the Far North), in possession of explosives. On Tuesday morning, a double bombing was foiled in the locality of Gouzoudou, in the Extreme North of the country.

Bomb carriers, denounced by the vigilance Committee of the village, surrounded by the defense and security forces, exploded their bomb. The only deaths registered as at Tuesday morning were the two terrorists.

That same Tuesday morning, the army announced the death of dozens of Boko Haram elements, killed in fighting at Amchide, a border village in Nigeria. Apart from the bodies carried away by their comrades, more than fifteen elements of Boko Haram had died on the scene, disclosed various military sources.

The resurgence of attacks by Boko Haram in the Cameroonian territory coincides with the entry into effective action of the elements of the first sector of the Joint Multinational Force (FMM), which has jurisdiction over the Cameroonian departments of Mayo-Sava Mayo-Tsanaga, Logone-and-Chari, Chad and parts of Nigeria.
