The reaction of the president of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC) Ahmad Kalkaba Malboum about the verdict by Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration (Cca) on Thursday, October 1 has raised many comments.
Among those who spoke was Lawyer Cabral Libii Li Ngué known for his near-perfect mastery of issues related to the law. He denied the Cameroonian army colonel the right to interpret the verdict in favour of Abdouraman Hamadou Babba, the complainant denouncing illegal texts used by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
"The release of Mr. Kalkaba has no legal value. We have to be very precise,” said the Lawyer who is also a journalist at Cameroon Radio and television (CRTV), on Friday morning. Cabral Libii recalled that the President of the African Confederation of Athletics "has continued to say that since the football case began, it was not closely linked to the Chamber of activity which was independent."
Now the university is satisfied that Kalkaba Malboum is in line with them. He accused the great sports leader saying "he wants to defeat a House that in our view, is very respectable. He is the boss of CNOSC. What his motives are? I do not know.”
Cabral Libii stubbornly maintained that the verdict which cancelled the first resolution of the texts adopted on August 5, 2015, also voids the electoral process to FECAFOOT with Tombi A Roko Sidiki as the new president.
He stated that "when the statutes are canceled with the consequences of the law, it means that everything derived from statutes is also canceled. Including the electoral code and the elections held on the basis of the electoral code.”
