MJTF: Cameroonian General takes full command of first military sector

Brigadier General Bouba Dobekreo has been commissioned as the Commander of the first military sector of the Multinational Joint Task Force of the Lake Chad Basin Commission, MJTF.

Commissioning the military man to his service, the Commander of the MJTF, Iliyasu Isah Abah challenged the over 10000 troops to portray professionalism in the fight against terrorism in the sub region.

The ceremony that was highlighted by displays pointing to the military prowess from the joint task force from Nigeria, Benin, Chad, Niger and Cameroon.

The Commander of the MJTF, impressed with the new regiments of forces, assured the population that terrorism will be thing of the past in the near future.

Cameroonian born Brigadier General Bouba Dobekreo will take sovereignty of the Mayo-Sava considered as one of the bases of the multinational task forces.

Nigeria has 4000 manned soldiers, Chad 3000, Niger 1000 and Benin approximately 1000 making the total number to 10,000 from the earlier figures that stood at 8500.

Worth noting is the fact that Cameroon contributed 2500 Cameroon soldiers and the international force has finally set out to chase Boko Haram, fight highway robbery, piracy and restore peace in the Lake Chad Basin and Benin sub region.
