The Cameroonian army attacked a few areas occupied by Boko Haram and succeeded in killing a number of insurgents on Thursday.

“A score of Boko Haram fighters, were killed during the attack on one of their positions by our elements on Thursday night, at Banki which is close to the Valle village,” said a Cameroonian military.

Since the installation of Bouba Dobekreo as the head of the first sector of the joint Multinational Force (JMF), to fight against Boko Haram on Friday, September 11, Cameroonian elements began to bombard the bases of the Nigerian Islamist sect.

After the attack of the JMF, the thorny issue of the "right of pursuit" of members of Boko Haram, seems settled, indicated several security sources. However, the sect multiplies its incursions and continues its abuses on civilian populations.

Recently, 9 persons and two Cameroonian soldiers were killed in two attacks attributed to Boko Haram, in the Far North of Cameroon.
