2946 Police inspectors including 893 women were inducted on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in Yaoundé. The official release of these law enforcement officers was chaired by the Delegate General for National Security, Martin Mbarga Nguélé.
The solemn ceremony held in Yaoundé, not Mutenguené as regularly done, was the occasion for the boss of the police to reiterate to his staff to turn their back on the abuse of power, the behaviour of consumption of tobacco and alcohol in uniform.
Mbarga Nguélé reminded the new graduates that national security is not a refuge for thieves and other fraudsters. The Delegate General asked the graduates to make a radical change in the way they serve the citizens. He asked them to eschew the problem of improper removal of vehicle parts, the presence of uniformed police elements in social circles, the abandonment of workstations.
During their stay at the Centre for Training and Application of Police (Ciap) of Mutenguené, police inspectors were trained on different modules such as peacekeeping, general information, the judicial police, the right to Human and vehicular traffic. They were trained on new economic and technological crimes that disrupt the business climate.
