The President of the Republic, Paul Biya, signed on Monday afternoon December 21, 2015, a decree appointing Fongod Edwin Nuvaga, Director General of Cameroon Customs.
He is the second Anglophone to head the customs department after Raymond Dinga Gwanyalla also from Bali Nyonga.
Before his appointment, he was Head of Information Technology Division at the Directorate of Customs.
Aged about fifty years, the new head of Customs hails from Bali Nyongha, Department of Mezzam in the Northwest region.
Fongod Edwin Nuvaga replaces Minette Libom Li Kikeng who was promoted as Minister of Posts and Telecommunications on October 2, 2015.
