After the Stampede which occurred on Thursday, September 24, at Mecca and which cost the life of 21 Cameroonian pilgrims, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and decentralization (Minatd) said that 123 Cameroonians had been found and "immediately supported by the official delegation of Cameroon in Saudi Arabia."
According to the communiqué released by the Department, the continued search has found 77 other missing pilgrims.
President Paul Biya has, in a release, ordered that "appropriate measures are urgently taken in order to accord to the traumatized pilgrims, all the necessary assistance for their support in various forms which each of their situation requires."
