The Director General of the Port of Douala arrived at the Douala International Airport in yesterday afternoon.

For his return to the fold after three months of stay abroad, Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono, the Director General of the Autonomous Port of Douala was welcomed in triumph by relatives and Cameroon People Democratic Movement activists (CPDM).

For such mobilization, relatives of Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono, intend to debunk the rumour announcing their champion on the run because of his supposed problems with the Cameroonian justice.

Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono had not returned at the scheduled date for the mission order when he left the country for his mission on September 21, 2015.

According to his family, the residence of the Director General of the PAD was extended for health reasons.

This explanation was undermined by critics of Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono who believed that he was on the run because of certain cases of misappropriation of public money that await the Special Criminal Court.

During his absence, his position as Managing Director of the PAD remained vacant until Friday, December 11, 2015.

That was the day that the PAD Board of Directors decided to appoint the Deputy Director General, Charles Michaux Moukoko Njoh, to the post of interim DG of PAD during a meeting in Yaounde.

Eleven days later, the incumbent, Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono decided to return against all odds. He is now curious to see the circumstances in which he will resume his duties.
