The Shadow Cabinet Ministers of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) met on Friday, October 2, 2015, in Bamenda in the Northwest Region.

The meeting chaired by Ni John Fru Ndi, president of the SDF, permitted them to review the activities of each ministerial departments of the current government.

In the final communiqué which endorsed this meeting, the Council's Cabinet accused the government of being “bloated” and therefore "enormous sacrifices are imposed on citizens", reported the daily La Nouvelle Expression on Monday, October 05, 2015.

According to the Shadow Cabinet, "this government, with more than 60 members, has no place because some departments must be combined. Fru Ndi’s Ministers also believed that "the government exerts pressure on civil servants which oblige them to belong to a political party.”

In addition to issues related to the size of the government, Ministers of the government of the SDF also commented on the situation of some parastatals. They thus noted with "regret the catastrophic management of Camair-co and Camtel," which are according to the Shadow Cabinet, “two profitable businesses.”

About peace in Cameroon, the SDF claimed that it is fragile because “the management of the war effort creates discontent within the army, and therefore, risk the lead to an uprising of these uniform men.”
