While we celebrated in communion, with all the believers of the world, for the feast of the sacrifice on Thursday, September 24, 2015, a stampede caused the deaths of many pilgrims with a score of believers from our countries; our compatriots.

My family and I join all believers in this time of mourning. We can imagine what these families are going through with the loss of a family head or relative.

It really is a huge tragedy that saddens me and upsets me personally.

On behalf of the movement of Cameroon for democracy, I express my sincerest condolences to the families of all the victims and assure them of my sympathy and my solidarity.
