Kah Walla Chairperson of the CPP party granted an interview to the Le Jour newspaper and below is an extract of her thought on the Senate as an institution.
Extract
Our political party, Cpp, were of the view that the creation of this institution (the Senate) in 2013 had no place and would add no value to the Cameroonian democracy. It has been two years now and we have been proved right.
The Senate brought nothing to Cameroonians and has caused the dysfunction of our country, since it is not able to meet its own needs.
In principle, the Senate is the upper house of parliament and it is a prestigious institution found in a country. It is shameful that in Cameroon, the Senate was created before how it would function was thought about.
