After his masterful performance at the podium of the just ended "Forum of Leaders" of UNESCO in Paris, President Paul Biya had a bilateral meeting in the Hall V of the building housing the headquarters of UNESCO, with the Director-General, Irina Bokova.

This particular meeting with the Director General perfectly showed the state of relations between Cameroon and UNESCO. Paul Biya was accompanied by his wife.

The meeting ended with the presentation of the special gift from the Presidential Couple to the Director-General of Unesco.

Before the bilateral meeting, the Head of State has closely followed, in Room I, which is pursuing the "Forum of Leaders", the interventions of other heads of state or delegation, particularly that of President of the French Republic, Francois Hollande.

The head of the French state, Francois Hollande, who addressed this august assembly under most distressing circumstances relating to the terrorist attacks on Friday, November 13, 2105, in Paris was a long ovation.

After greeting the friendship and solidarity actions from around the world, François Hollande said that his presence at UNESCO is a strong message not to give in to fear, as a strong symbol that Unesco is an organization that it described as "conscience of humanity", which brings people together on the values of peace and culture.

The French President said he was determined, along with other world leaders, to defend these values.

After explaining the threat terrorism poses to peace, human lives and cultural works, Hollande proposed the creation of an international fund for cultural property in danger.
