The annex faculty of Law and Political Sciences (FSJP) of the University of Yaoundé II-Soa in Ebolowa was opened on October 5, to launch the 2015/2016 academic year.

Teachers and students of the Yaoundé II annex met at the new campus for the first lecture.

There were more than 600 registered young students, according to Eustache Akono Atangane, the first Coordinator FSJP.

These privileged students and Lecturers were the first to set foot on the large furnished rooms (big amphi theatres) to attend the first course taught by Prof. Magloire Ochieng, Dean of FSJP.

At the moment, only the first year students of this faculty have been permitted to begin lectures. But, in the opinion of the Dean, the continuing students of FSJP will begin their lectures before the end of the year. Eustache Akono Atangana, the first Coordinator of the institution, said it measures are put in place for that.

The students and guests of honour were at the campus on October 3 to check the facilities; everything is under control. However, the inconveniences for this 2015-2016 academic year would be the lack of more infrastructures.

The rehabilitation work of existing buildings was evidence. According to some officials on-site, these premises will be somewhat inadequate even though it has been completed.
