Time is not the total optimism regarding the preparations for the next edition of the African Women's Football Cup scheduled in Cameroon.

The Southwest Region sites are those with most concern because the infrastructure to be used for competitions and training are far from ready, to say the least.

At Limbe, the city that will house one of the two pools of the competition, the construction of the main stadium is completed.

However, its training grounds are not yet ready. The companies in charge of construction of these sites are advancing at a snail's pace. There is still no light, water, and electricity.

At Buea, the Molyko Omnisports stadium was completely destroyed. Even though it will be rebuilt, nobody knows when the work will be completed. The site manager refuses to speak. The delay in the construction of the Limbe-Tiko highway always triggers anxiety.

CRTV -radio recently reported that the governor of the Southwest region was at the construction sites. He was preceded a few days earlier by the ministers of sports, public procurement, urban development and housing.

Their visit and orders have not realised much changes on the site.
