Cameroon defeated Ethiopia 2-1 in the first leg match of the African Women’s U-17 qualifier.

Ethiopia led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a goal by Melat Demeke (37?) but Cameroon responded with a brace from Soli Diana (58? penalty & 83?).

The two teams will play their second leg match on January 22 in Addis Ababa.
