Abdouraman had seized the international court to oppose the decision of FIFA to extend for the 4th consecutive time, the mandate of the Standards Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation.
The chairman of the legendary club, Etoile filante de Garoua, estimated that this extension of "too much" was illegal. He therefore, requested that the judges of CAS invalidate the extension. Wasted effort! After reviewing the complaint by Abdouraman, CAS has simply rejected this call.
The extension of the mandate of FECAFOOT Standards Committee until Wednesday, September 30, 2015 is valid. This is the second time that the former chief of staff of Iya Mohammed, outgoing President of FECAFOOT, loses before a lawsuit against FIFA.
The same Abdouraman expects the sentences of two other complaints against FECAFOOT before the Court of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon. The complainant claims the invalidation of general meetings to foster the new texts of FECAFOOT and its decentralized leagues.
If Abdouraman is successful, the Fécafoot standardization process, already nearing completion, will be done from the scratch. Meanwhile, Joseph Owona and peers in the Standards Committee prepare the election of the new President of FECAFOOT scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2015, in Yaoundé with Tombi A Rocko and Atah Robert as candidates.
This will be the final stage of an electoral process that began on August 31 at the departmental leagues.
