CDC 2015: Alphonse Tientcheu voted man of the match

UMS of Loum striker was named best player of the final of the Cup of Cameroon in 2015, won on Sunday by his team against the Panther of Nde (2-0).

Alphonse Tientcheu had the favour of the vote of the jury, composed of officials from the National Technical Direction and sports journalists, overseen by a commission headed by Mohamadou Abbo, one of the vice presidents of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and also responsible for the Cup of Cameroon for FECAFOOT.

Tientcheu received the highest number of points; 24 in total, to the first goalscorer of UMS, Nsameli Nyuydorgha (21 points) and Collins Maifanya, the goalkeeper of the same formation (10).

The center forward, winner of this award was put under the spotlight by giving the decisive pass that saw Nsameli score the first goal, before scoring his own goal that buried the hopes of Panther of Ndé at stoppage time.

"We are very satisfied and very happy this afternoon. I scored and gave a decisive pass, I think it is a good thing for me and my teammates. We arrived once and we win. So we are very satisfied. In the semifinals, I had made a goal pass and I scored, and this morning (Sunday), I told my friends that I have to do the same again. God heard me and he gave me the same thing," he told Camfoot at the end of the match, before being later elected man of the match.

Tientcheu is part of the youth team and has contributed to the rise of the team in the second as well as the first division. He will be rewarded on Monday during a ceremony by FECAFOOT.
