Dismissed by the Board of Appeal of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) in the dispute which opposed the Fovu Club of Baham, about the confusion surrounding the identity of one of its players, Canon of Yaoundé has so far not given up.
The club from the capital, relegated to Ligue 2 at the end of the last sports season, fell back to the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC). The court was adjourned on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, for the leaders of Fovu and those of Canon in order to rule on the decision rendered on August 18 by the Board of Appeal of the national football governing body. In Article 3, it ordered "a two-year suspension for John Calvin Kohn alias 'Khon Charles Raoul' from any activity related to football, while Canon will lose the match in question against Fovu
This decision followed the action brought by the club from the sacred cave of Baham while the approval committee of the Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC) had not ruled on qualifying reservations against the player in question.
In accordance with the provision of section 123 paragraph 5 and 137 paragraph 3 of the General Regulations of FECAFOOT, the Appeals Commission imposed a two-year ban on the player and loss of the match by Canon of Yaoundé. On the playground, the two teams were separated on a parity score.
For Mekok me Ngonda, this decision has clearly contributed to its relegation to Ligue 2. Hence, their presence required at the CCA.
