Dassi Tatan undergoes jaw operation

After 10 days of hospitalization, Dassi Tatan, New Stars de Douala player, finally had a jaw operation on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

He suffered a fractured jaw in the match between New Stars de Douala against Union de Douala on the 34th and final day of League 1, on September 6, 2015.

The surgery took place in the morning at a clinic located in the neighborhood of Akwa, in the center of Douala. Everything happened in very good conditions and the player immediately took to the road of Yaoundé to meet his family. According to reports, this surgery costs about FCFA 700 000.

New Stars de Douala and the Professional Football League of Cameroon contributed FCFA 400 000 while the family of Stéphane Tatan completed the amount, with FCFA 300,000.

It was thanks to media pressure that Faustin Domkeu of New Stars contributed to this happy ending after the young player was left carelessly at the Deido District hospital for several days. Most of his last orders had been resolved with the support of the souls of good will.

Club officials of the New Star and Professional Football League, organizer of the championship had still not paid the bill of nearly FCFA one million demanded by the public hospital doctors to perform this operation.

New Stars complained that the amount was too much and that they will need a specialist to handle the situation.
