Victory for Tombi closed the ‘marathon day’ of the FECAFOOT presidential elections at Mont Febe Hotel in Yaoundé.
The audience eagerly awaited the first impressions of Tombi A Roko Sidiki after the declaration.
"It's a feeling of joy coupled with a sense of great responsibility," he began before adding that “my first feat is to reach out to all our sisters and brothers who also aspired to be President of FECAFOOT as well as other members of the Executive Committee. I will reach out for their support”, Tombi said.
On a calm tone, the new boss of the governing body of football in Cameroon cited some of the people he wants to see in his team. "Football is a team sport that is played in several countries. I will call and visit some of the well-known opponents like Eugène Ekéké in Douala, Nkou Mvondo in Ngaoundere and Joseph Antoine Bell. We will need all these intellects,” said the new president, reassuring that nobody will be left out.
But he stated that he is aware this appeal will not be heard by everyone. Tombi A Roko left the choice to everyone: "Now it is up to everyone to work with us or stay on the low side and continue to criticize,” he affirmed by stating that he would take into account all criticisms.
