In as much as Indomitable Lions has expressed interest in Ivory Coast's former coach, Hervé Renard seems to be far from reach.
The French daily, L'Equipe, disclosed that Renard announced in effect that he may take charge of Ghana's Black Star by replacing Avram Grant who may join Swansea in England. Garry Monk is no longer the coach of the English team.
In addition, to his state of complimentary service on the African continent marked by two African Cup of Nations won respectively with Zambia (2012) and Côte d'Ivoire (2015), Hervé Renard has a history with the Black Stars. He was assistant coach to Claude Leroy between 2006 and 2008.
After a disappointing experience at Lille, Hervé Renard would probably rebuild morale in a continent that he has made his name in.
