Standard Liege signs Fai Collins

The director of Rouches endorsed on Wednesday the arrival of the Cameroonian International defender, Collins Fai since October 11, 2015.

They have reached an agreement for a four-year contract.

But for now, Collins Fai is still blocked in Romania due to a visa problem.
His transfer will be officially recorded when he appears in Sclessin to sign the lease.

The right back was evolving for three seasons at Dinamo Bucharest where he became one of the pillars of the team.

"This transfer was a big surprise for me, but I'm very happy," he said in the Romanian media.

"I do not think that everything can go as fast. Via, a Portuguese agent was told that the club was interested in my services, and I responded positively. That is all."

He is described as an explosive defender, muscular and able to survey an entire flank. More comfortable on the right, he will also compete with Darwin Andrade and Corentin Fiore on the other wing when Jelle Van Damme has left the club.

"This is a significant step forward in my career. This transfer is a new challenge; I hope to raise and thus prolong my dream," he said. "I had to leave Romania quickly, but I certainly will return to salute my former teammates now.

My only regret is that I finally have to get used to a whole new environment when I was acclimated to Romania."

Collins Fai now hopes to "win a trophy with the Standard." A wish shared by the whole club, that decided to give itself the means of its ambitions during the winter transfer window.
