Tombi A Roko Sidiki heads a delegation of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) that has been in Europe for several days.
While initially, the indiscretions gathered in the halls of Tsinga spoke of a mission to meet with binational that may change within the Indomitable Lions, reliable sources have informed that the last hour stay of FECAFOOT officials has several objectives.
La Nouvelle Expression (LNE) on December 10, 2015, revealed that "President of FECAFOOT is in search of European expertise, as part of the construction of football fields in synthetic grass in Bamenda, Bafia, Bafang, Bangangté, Ngaoundere, and Ngoumou Sangmélima."
This important project which had agreements signed with the city councils took place on November 23, 2015 in Yaoundé.
The reporter stated that "The President of FECAFOOT was mainly in the Czech Republic and Germany where he met experts, approved by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) specialized in synthetic grass, who may apply for the call of "transparent" offers which will soon be launched by FECAFOOT. This will be in connection with the construction of the said lands."
According to LNE, "the Cameroon football boss arrived in Lyon, France, on December 9. According to our sources, he met with Jean-Michel Aulas, President of Olympique Lyonnais to convince him to assist in the construction of sports facilities in Cameroon."
If these negotiations are successful, the works for the laying of the artificial turf on playgrounds should begin shortly.
Meanwhile, work should begin in January 2016 and ends in June 2016, as stated during the convention.
