Cameroon has lost the Tour de la Réconciliation yellow jersey to Morrocco after the second stage of the competition.
The SNH Velo Club rider, Jeremiah Nseke, apparently wore the yellow jersey for only 24 hours when he emerged winner of the first stage, covering the distance between Dabakala and Katiola, on Sunday.
He was overtaken at the second stage on Monday. This was during an individual time trial of 37 km distance between Bouake and Sakassou
Cameroon took only a modest 27th place with a 47'38''45 cycling time. He came far behind the stage winner, Mouhssine Lahsaini, who finished in 44'36''95.The Moroccan beat two Rwandans, Janvier Hadi (44'51''05) and Camera Hakuzimana (45'14''35). It was a race that was rather difficult for Cameroonians.
The first among them was ranked 10th, Lontsi Yannick in 46'01''57. The rest were Clovis Kamzong Abossolo (46'45''75) and was 16th. Hervé Raoul Mba (47'23''51) came 22nd, Damien Tekou (48'00''96) took the 32nd position and Herman Yemeli (49'00''33) finished 39th.
After the over-all ranking after this stage, the first Cameroonian was Kamzong Abossolo with a time of 02h35'26''. The winner of the Tour of Cameroon 2015 finished at 02'09'' and the yellow jersey is now owned by Moroccan Mouhssine Lahsaini.
