The 13th International Cycling Tour of Cameroon will take place from March 12 to 20, 2016.
The ambition of Cameroon is to retain the title won by Clovis Kamzong Abossolo in 2015. To do this, the cycling Lions have already started preparation.
After a first few days of consolidation externally, the national coach, Dieudonné Ntep, just published a list of 20 riders called to initiate an internal training course in the next few days.
They will prepare the first competitions of the early season. Starting with the "Grand Prize Seme Beach Hotel", which is a new race that will now open the season of the Cameroonian Cycling Federation.
There will be no rest for the Cameroonian runners because immediately after the race, the Lions will travel to Gabon. There, they will take part in the 11th edition of the Tropical Amissa Bongo.
This race ranked 2.1 by the International Cycling Union (UCI) will take place from January 18 to 24 with two passages in Cameroonian soil (Kye-Ossi and Ambam).
Back in Cameroon, the same group will, in early February, start the preparation of the Tour of Cameroon "that is objective number one in 2016," according to the president of the Fecacycling, Yossi Honoré.
