CAMTEL launches its 4G

Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL) has launched its 4G internet services.

The good news was announced by Director-General of CAMTEL, David Nkoto Emane, during the outreach visit of Minette Libom Li Likeng; Cameroon's Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.

The head of CAMTEL said that "from December 15, 2015, CAMTEL subscribers will now get double or even triple and even quadruple the usual capabilities of their connections to the Internet, the same price; prices well within the scope of Cameroonians modest portfolios."

Public operator wireline telephony, CAMTEL, holds since September 2014, the 4th mobile license in Cameroon, through its program Mobile Communications Network (MCN), coordinated by Boris Judicael Nganou.

The Director General David Nkoto Emane said to Alwihdainfo that "we continue to invest with emphasis, the effective implementation of each of the projects to complete the consolidation of a competitive production system."

In 2014, the Pan-African financial rating agency Bloomfield Investment, specializing in risk assessment of corporate credit and other institutions, was assigned to CAMTEL, rated "BBB" with "a positive outlook on the long-term and 3A with a stable outlook in the short term ", public telecommunications company (Camtel). It is a first for a Cameroonian company to obtain a financial rating.

By January 2016, CAMTEL gives itself a new challenge: the installation of 11,000 linear kilometers of fiber deployed throughout the national territory.
