Francis Nana Djomou to invest 17.5 billion in fruit juice production

Elim Beverage and Food SA is the name of the company in which Francis Nana Djomou, promoter of the cosmetic firm Biopharma, plans to invest 17.5 billion FCFA with Spanish partners.

This project has been declared eligible for the benefits provided for by the law on incentives for private investment in Cameroon, which provides tax-customs exemptions for 5 to 10 years. It is done during the phases of installation and production of companies.

Elim Beverage will be the second food unit set up by the Cameroonian industrialist, Francis Nana Djomou, after the unit of production of food stock of the "Jumbo" brand, built in the city of Douala. Elim Beverage will induce the creation of 891 jobs in the country, informed close sources.

Further diversification of its activities, with notably the successive launch of two food companies in addition to the cosmetic company, Francis Nana Djomou is also in a logic of conquest of new markets. He plans to open a subsidiary of Biopharma in Côte d'Ivoire, in order to strengthen the West African market.

The leader of the market of cosmetics in Cameroon is also considering, in the medium term, locations in Nigeria, the largest economy on the continent, and the People’s Republic of Congo. From Pointe-Noire, an authorized source noted that Biopharma Laboratories is longing for markets in the DRC, Angola and some countries in Southern Africa.
