The asphalt surface of the highway running through the Marché New Deido has begun.

The appearance of the market space is gradually changing and traders are happy about the development.

All stalls along this road began renovation; painting and other developments by owners are underway.

Maryvonne, a shop owner, said: "You can't imagine how I feel. I hired someone to repair my shop. I have painted it and installed new shelves. The road work which ends in a few months will bring me new customers."

Michel, Maryvonne's immediate neighbour, intervened: "I could not believe it at first, but when I saw the progress of the work, I believe the life of traders in Marche New Deido will truly change."

Clearing works on the Quifferou - Trois highway begun in December 2014. The company in charge of the construction was given a period of 18 months for delivery. Until then, things went as planned, even the rainy season from August to October did not slow down the work progress on the site.

At the junction of both roads, the block pavement is near completion. The choice fell on the pavement because of soil quality (it is waterlogged and the cobblestones are more appropriate to avoid upwelling).

It should be noted that the cost of this project amounts to more than a billion CFA francs, the work progress is 55% and 65% of the completion time has been exhausted.

Other Deido works are also part of the project and budget. These are the streets of Mongo, Moundourou, Jebale, and Ekwalla Essaka. Most of the work have been completed except a few finishing touches on the pavement.
