The Yaoundé urban council and the Mayor will launch a new urban bus transport company in the coming months, announced Cameroon Tribune.
The company will be called the Bus Co SA, official sources disclosed.
This bus company will replace Le Bus, the name of the current company which is a joint-venture between Cameroonian public institutions, the Yaoundé urban council, and American investors who sold their assets to two Zimbabwean and South African economic operators
As a reminder, Le Bus has lost track for several years. It began operations with about 50 buses in the capital. But now, it has reduced to a dozen vehicles only. These buses can also be parked at any time, due to lack of spare parts, sources said.
