Electricity Development Corporation (EDC), the public company in the electricity sector in Cameroon, has just invited 13 pre-qualified companies to submit their offers, as part of the process for the award of the contract on the construction of electricity transport line of the Lom Pangar hydroelectric project, in Eastern Cameroon.
Out of the 13 pre-qualified companies, there are four French companies, three Chinese, two Spanish, one Egyptian, one Swedish, one Moroccan and one Indian. These companies have until 6 May 2016 to submit their offers, with a warranty of FCfa 340 million.
As part of the Lom Pangar project, which dam will be delivered in July 2016, an electricity transport line of 120 km has also been scheduled for construction, in order to supply the villages in the Eastern region in electricity.
