Officials from the Chinese company Tieg (Top International Engineering Corporation), in charge of a project execution were at the regional division of the Judicial Police of the South on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Five Chinese in total gave a complaint to the police of a Cameroonian employee accused of stealing tiles at the site. The Cameroonian worker was immediately detained and questioned by the police.
After more than an hour spent at the police station, officials of the Chinese company Tieg returned to the construction site. The luxury three-star hotel, gift of the head of state to the people of the southern region at the Comice agropastoral in Ebolowa, delays in completion.
Launched in 2010, the construction works were initially to be completed in 2011. Since then, the Tourism Ministry announces every year the end of the construction to be in a short time, but the site is still not complete.
The world-class hotel under construction in Ebolowa has 99 rooms and one presidential suite. It will be spread over 8 stories with two basements and five levels for rooms. It costs 9.355 billion FCFA.
