Gregoire Owona, Minister of Labour and Social Security, has the reputation of being a man of good living.
He proved this assertion at a recreational evening in Yaounde. In the video below the Minister was spotted, in the midst of his courtiers, enjoying the controversial song 'Coller La Petite'
by the Cameroonian artiste Franko.
This song, whose lyrics divides public opinion, was earlier this month termed by MPs, in the last parliamentary session, as a real vector of moral depravity.
“The concern about the song 'Coller La Petite' seems very deep. For it is a gross invite to debauchery, which offends morals and manners,” declared the Honourable Cécile Epondo Fouda.
However, members who hoped to see the government take action to prohibit the dissemination of this kind of music were surprised to learn that there was no law or a regulatory provision that prohibits the broadcast of songs such as Franko’s. A freedom that benefits Grégoire Owona, one of the Biya government deans.
