Do not give in to panic - Lamido of Banyo

Mohaman Gabdo Yaya, Lamido of Banyo, has started the population should not give in to panic due to the insecurity issues faced by the town lately.

I came to share the experience of Mayo Banyo in the fight against the phenomenon of highway robbery and hostage-taking.

Below is the statement he made while urging the people to stay calm.

"It is about sharing information and enhancing cooperation between Fmo and populations on the one hand and traditional leaders, on the other.

Vigilante Committees became operational because we chose faithful men with a positive reputation.

The village chief is the architect and member of the committee and does not go to another village without having informed the village chief about the reason for his presence in the community. The fight will be won only when everyone is involved.

Adamawa is an area rich; that's why it is attacked from either side. We must not panic."
