Mr. Kalpele, the head of Department of control and regulation of postal activities at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, told the standby technological site Ticmag.com that out of the 202 companies providing postal services identified in the Cameroonian territory, only 23 are officially recognized, while 37 are in process of legalization with 140 others operating clandestinely.
"We can surely say that there is disorder in the sector", noted this official at the Ministry of Posts and Telecoms, who confirmed the sloppiness existing in the postal sector due to the absence of a coercive legal framework.
In the coming months, if nothing is done on the side of the operators on the agenda of Governments, the Ministry of Posts and Telecoms will provide repressive action against the promoters of outlaw companies.
