Drawing from section 9, of law No. 90/9/059 of 19th December, 1990, persons aged 21 minimum sitting in as candidates for advocate-in-training should devote themselves in rendering services in chambers, reason why, the 151 advocates, excluding the 116th applicant who was absent, took the oath on January 9, 2015.

“I do swear as an advocate-in-training to perform my duties as council for the defense or as legal adviser in total independence and in Unity, on consciousness, brevity, humility and in accordance with the ethics of my profession; in due respect of the court and tribunal as the law of the Republic.”

Speaking to The Median Newspaper, some of the new advocates confessed it has really not been stressful waiting for over four months to be sworn-in as advocates-in-learning. This is the idea of Arrey Remy, who told The Median that, taking the examination since last February 22, 2014 and succeeding through the orals in August of the sane year, only meant their swearing-in ceremony was the most awaited.

To Njualem Julius-one of the new advocates, the three years of training is a mere formality which he said, they should all gladly work with passion given that, they were among the best candidates who took the Bar examination.
