187 perish in CMR army and Boko Haram clash

Information from the Division of Communication Department of Defense has announced a series of simultaneous attacks by members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram in the region of the Far North.

Thus, according to Lt. Col. Didier Badjeck, Chief of the Division of Communication, Cameroonian positions were attacked in the last 48 hours in five locations. These include Kerawa Doumba by Tourou, Karanchi in the borough of Mogode , Kolfata between Kidjimatari, Limani and Amchide.

The balance sheet statement following the attacks reported a death on the side of our members, the death of village chief Talamade. The side of the attackers, the response elements of the defense forces of Cameroon caused numerous damages.

Thus counted 187 deaths among the members of the Boko Haram sect, burned 15 vehicles, including three semi-trailers packed with explosives and destroyed several motorcycles.

Elements of Cameroonian forces are working assiduously to deal with the attacks, the statement of the Chief of the Division of Communication Ministry of Defence said.
