2 suitcases of Indian hemp confiscated in Garoua Boulai

A significant amount of this plant was found in a bus at Garoua Boulai.

Two suitcases containing Indian hemp were seized by police in Garoua Boulai on October 12. They were in a 70 seater-bus belonging to the agency Touristique Voyage from Bertoua and destined to Ngaoundéré.

It was during the inspection of the baggage compartment, at the Garoua-Boulaï exit where the bus made a stop, that the police found the package.

"We will first weigh to know the weight and the exact value of the seized drug", indicated the regional delegate of national security in the East, the Divisional Commissioner Adamou Alioum.

All passengers were taken to the Commissioner of public safety at Garoua-Boulaï, but none of them acknowledged being the owner of the suitcases.
